Women's Ministry

The women's ministry at Harvey Oaks Baptist is designed for women from all backgrounds.  Our goal is to develop well-rounded Christian women through activities and programs based on biblical teachings.  We want to help every woman become aware of her spiritual gifts and encourage her to use them to further God's kingdom.  This encouragement aspect of our ministry is designed to keep in touch with the personal and emotional facets of our church family.  Encouragement may include prayer, personal contact, and acts of service.

Bible Studies

Women of all ages join together for fellowship, discussion, and a lesson from the Bible applicable to your life today.  Bible studies are available on a weekly basis at various times and places to help each woman grow stronger in God's Word.  For Spring 2010:

Social Events

Social events are designed to create an environment for personal, emotional, and spiritual growth,  Held in a relaxed atmoshpere, these events allow us to be ourselves and cultivate relationships with friends and family.  Praise and worship, prayer, fellowship, food, and childcare are integral parts of social events.

Special Events

On the first Saturday in December each year the women of Harvey Oaks Baptist meet for brunch in the fellowship hall to celebrate the biginning of Advent.  Brunch is followed by a program and musical presentation.
