Youth The Youth Ministry at Harvey Oaks Baptist is designed for junior and senior high students. At HOBC youth will experience God's incredible love for them in a way that is real, relevant, relaxed, and relational. Students will be challenged to grow in their faith and reach out to share it with others. Students Counseling: Pastor Aaron meets with students who need to talk. Fellowship: All the time, usually involving food and/or sports. Special events such as camps, concerts, lock-ins, retreats, and ski trips help youth build relationships and share the gospel in non-traditional settings. Meetings: Monday Night Lights (9th - 12th grade) meets every Monday at 6 pm, and includes games, fellowship, and teaching that deals with issues challenging today's youth. H3vnly Flavor (6th - 8th grade) meets every Wednesday night from 6:30 to 8 pm, and includes crazy games, fellowship, and lessons that challenge students. Missions: We strive to have a big emphasis on Local Missions as well as Global Missions. The youth ministry participates in several service projects around the Omaha area each year. We also have a big mission trip each summer. Leaders Every student has something to offer. The Youth Ministry puts a big emphasis on student leaders. Each student wishing to be a student leader goes through an interview process to make sure they are serious about this role. If you wish to be an adult leader of some kind please contact Pastor Aaron "Woogy". Parents The Youth Ministry is actually a branch of the Family Ministry at HOBC. Several times a year we have family get-togethers that promote fellowship and family as well as Parent Meetings to discuss the ministry and give the parents a chance to share ideas or ask questions. We also try to have a seminar each year, as well as some family service projects. If you have any questions about the Youth Ministry or Family Ministry please feel free to contact Pastor Aaron "Woogy".
